Whether you love the devastating dramas of Ozu and Mizoguchi, the cult favourite horrors of Miike and Fukasaku, the inventive anime of Kon or the stunning action from Kurosawa, their eclectic selection should have something for all to enjoy!

For the duration of the Japanese Director Showcase, Academy Cinemas and Tanuki (and Tanuki's Cave) are partnering to provide you with a $50 Meal and a Movie Deal! 

This deal includes: 

• One set meal at either Tanuki Japanese Restaurant or Tanuki's Cave, to be enjoyed BEFORE the film. 
• One ticket for the Japanese Director Showcase film at Academy Cinemas.

Vegetarian options are available! Please note that the deal will be exclusively available at Tanuki's (street level) for films: Yojimbo, Audition, Tokyo Godfathers, Cure, Battle Royale and Late Spring. For films: Onibaba and Ugetsu, (as Tanuki's is closed on Monday and Tuesday), the deal will instead include a meal at Tanuki's Cave, downstairs at the same address (to be booked via email).
