The TāmakiLink bus is a great way to get to and from the beaches, shops and cafes along the waterfront in the Eastern Bays.
It operates along Tāmaki Drive from Britomart, to Spark Arena, Okahu Bay, Sea Life Kelly Tarlton's, Mission Bay, Kohimarama Beach, St Heliers Bay, and Glen Innes.
It is an easy to use, turn up and go service that runs at least every 15 minutes from 7am to midnight.
How to pay for public transport
Bus fares can be paid using an AT HOP card. The AT HOP card is a reusable prepaid travel card that can be purchased online or at selected retailers and must be topped up prior to travel.
You can also use your contactless debit or credit card, smartphone or smart device. Just be sure to tag on and off using the same payment method.
Cash is not accepted on buses. If you're travelling with someone who doesn’t have a HOP card or contactless payment, you can use your HOP card to buy a single-trip paper ticket for them—just ask the driver.
