This July, Commercial Bay’s Harbour Eats transforms into a celebration of culinary creativity with the debut of the Fork and Fame Awards—a month-long event spotlighting the flavours, flair, and fan favourites of its 25 vibrant food vendors.

From 30 June to 31 July, diners can explore a hawker-style food hall bursting with variety—from bao and burgers to donuts and birria—and vote for their favourite dishes across six playful categories:

  • Bang for Buck – best value without compromising flavour
  • Best Date Eats – perfect for sharing or impressing
  • Don’t Need Meat – standout plant-based creations
  • Don’t Wear White – gloriously messy indulgence
  • Save Room for Dessert – sweet treats that steal the show
  • Zero Forks Given – finger food at its finest

A panel of top Kiwi food personalities—including MasterChef NZ winner Sam Low, food blogger @fattab, writer Anna King-Shahab, and chef Gareth Stewart—will judge the entries, while Best Foods Mayo and Pic’s Peanut Butter present their own special awards:

  • The Mayo ‘Mazing Award, judged by MasterChef finalist Elliot McClymont
  • The Golden Peanut Award, judged by Pic’s founder Pic Picot

Every dish entered into these awards will be available to try from 30 June, and diners can vote for the People’s Choice Award by scanning QR codes throughout the precinct. Each vote is also an entry to win “lunch for a year”—a $5,000 Commercial Bay dining voucher.
