More detailsPrioritising high-quality ingredients from Aotearoa New Zealand and imported Mexican products to create flavours designed to captivate customers, Tacoteca offers an array of tantalising tacos including barbacoa, beef, al pastor, fish and vegetarian selections – the idea is to order a few. Then a few more. And maybe just a couple more.
Alongside the core taco offering, Tacoteca’s menu also offers a selection of antojitos (translating as ‘little craves’ or snacks) including tasty salsas, savoury churros, ceviche and tostadas, guacamole, taquitos (flautas) and queso fundido (Mexican cheese fondue) – be prepared for your tastebuds to be transported to Mexico.
Families with niños (children) are well served too with a kid’s menu including mini cheese quesadillas, egg and beef taquitos.
On the dessert front those with a sweet tooth are well catered for. Tacoteca serves leche frita – chef’s favourite, and house-made paletas (ice blocks) in the summer months. The beverage menu at Tacoteca promises to excite, with specialty margaritas including a zero alcohol, classic, tamarind, passionfruit and Cadillac-inspired, alongside craft beers and selected wines. Non-alcoholic preferences are well covered with house-made horchata (a rice drink with vanilla and cinnamon), speciality sodas and zero % beers.
