Des Harris, the new Executive Chef at Pilkingtons, has created a beautiful new menu of simple and flavoursome food that won’t leave you unsatisfied.
Des, previously awarded as Chef of the Year 2013, has left his mark on Auckland’s dining staple Clooney, and is now excited to re-establish his creative edge at the sophisticated city oasis that is Pilkingtons.
The new menu is rich, hearty and approachable. The confit duck leg served with beetroot, plum, and liquorice is a must-try. Another unmissable dish is the mouth-watering Maltagliati lamb shoulder with ricotta, dates and black pepper sauce.
Complete your meal with one of their heavenly desserts. You can’t go wrong with a Valrhona chocolate soufflé tart or a soft meringue with yogurt, plum, chili and shiso.
With their new menu, Pilkingtons is definitely worth a visit for a lunch or post-work drinks.
