Started in 2014 by Action Education and steered by the South Auckland Poets Collective, Word – The Front Line has become the largest annual Youth Poetry event in the country.

More than a slam, it has become a community for some of the most powerful voices in Aotearoa. In its 10 years, thousands of young people have walked across the WTFL stage, using the platform as a launching pad for careers as award winnings poets, authors, National and International Slam Champions, activists, community leaders, and performers.

Each night will feature different performers from all 10 years of Word – The Front Line. These will include international slam champs and wahine Māori arts collective Ngā Hinepūkōrero, climate change activist and award-winning poet Aigagalefili Fepulea'i Tapua'I, viral poetry sensations Sheldon Rua, Jai Selkirk, as well as the current 2023 Word – The Front Line Champions from Ngā Puna o Waiōrea.

This is a once in a generation event you do not want to miss, get your tickets today!
