Down for truffles? The response is always a “yes”, or “a must-try once in your life”.
For one sophisticated Saturday in June, delve into the complexity of flavours of the decadent truffle as you dig into an eight dish menu designed by Executive Chef Sean Connolly.
Deep dive through every impression, veering from oaky and nutty to sweet and juicy, only enhanced by the wines to match.
Start with truffle fonduta with Périgord truffle and toasted ciabatta, savour items like duck egg ravioli and Bianchetto truffle, and the finale, apple tart with Périgord truffle and pecorino to finish the feast. Sourced from the South Island, Esther is home to truffles from Tewnion Truffière in Christchurch and George’s Truffles from Riwaka.
Make it the splurge of the season.
All selections are subject to change at the whim of Chef Sean Connolly.
