Ti'iti'i Sacred Knowledge is a cultural extravaganza that combines mouth-watering fine-dining, thrilling dance theatre and authentic cultural stories all brought to life through the riotous comedy of the Samoan fale aitu tradition.

The evening will also breathe life into the ancient legends of one of the Pacific's most revered heroes. Ti’i-Ti’i-Atalaga, known in Aotearoa as Māui who was celebrated throughout the Pacific as a rebellious trickster who challenged the gods to share their sacred knowledge with the people.

Synthesising Pasifika hospitality, theatre and dance, guests will be served a sumptuous five-course banquet designed by head chef Wallace Mua Frost, while contemporary Pasifika dance-theatre is woven between the courses.

Hot on the heels of last year's sold-out Takurua Nafanua War Goddess, this year’s event also draws inspiration from Māori hākari and Pacific Island feasting rituals, with just six performances over three days.

Brought to life by Tala Pasifika Productions. a collective of Pasifika chefs and the overall vision of Artistic Director Tausani Simei-Papali'i, Takurua welcomes manuhiri to this celebration of indigenous practices in food preparation, dance, feasting and story-telling.
