Take your space - are you ready for 2021?
Co-author Rachel Petero and panel guests will share their #takeyourspace moments as Māori and Pasifika wāhine navigate boards, career and business in a COVID recession.
This book is a working guide to Taking Your Space in the workplace; full of wisdom, quotes and excerpts of interviews with women who have made their journey to success. Topics include nailing that first interview, countering sexism, how to recognise and negotiate the extra barriers women face in achieving their work goals and finding the resilience needed to counter racism — along with acknowledging 'unpaid labour shifts'.
Our host Rachel Petero is the Founder and CEO of Rise2025 Global with a vision to transform 100,000 Indigenous lives by 2025. She is an entrepreneur by heart, Waikato-Tainui by whakapapa, HR and Executive coach by profession and most recently a 2020 Westpac Women of Influence Global category finalist.
All proceeds from Take Your Space go to two charities - The Aunties and Otara Bluelight, both South Auckland Charities supporting women in domestic violence and OBL supporting young Māori and Pasifika Wāhine through a youth empowerment programme called 'Te Huringa o Te Tai o Ngā Wāhine'.
