As part of the Festival of Architecture 2019, this event is an exhibition of student work from the 2019 first semester University of Auckland international studio, hosted by the Escuela Técnica Superior de Arquitectura de Sevilla, samples the work of sixty-five 2nd to 5th year students who bravely undertook projects in the capital of Andalucia.
Sampling projects which respond to briefs for new housing in the historic Feria district, twenty ‘living bridges’ over the Guadalquivir and a cultural ‘kasbah’ replacing one long-demolished on the river embankment, the exhibition shows over 30 physical and digital models and more drawings.
High quality student travel image sets contextualise their observations of the urban morphology and architectural particularity of Seville and many other tour program sites starting with Marrakech and ending in Madrid.
