Bring your whānau to the Emily Place Reserve for an interactive kids workshop exploring the versatility of plants. Guided by Gardening the City facilitator Dorestie Liew (Āiotanga Trust), participating tamariki will learn about the properties of different plant life across this urban garden, and experiment with different forms of artmaking to create thoughtful impressions of their local environment.

Meet at Gus Fisher Gallery for an introduction, after which the group will walk together to the nearby Emily Place Reserve. You are welcome to bring your own kai for a lunchtime picnic in the park following the workshop.

This is a weather-dependent event, suitable for ages 5-12 with parental supervision required. All materials are provided.
