Two afternoons of poetry, conversation & connection.
Some stories are rarely heard. Some poems have the power to change how we see the world. This September, join the team at Ellen Melville Centre for Pill-Rolling Fingers: Poems about Early-Onset Parkinson's with poet, researcher & health advocate Tara Coleman.
Drawing from her acclaimed poetry collection, Tara invites you into a welcoming space of shared reading, thoughtful discussion & gentle creative writing. Together you'll explore themes of illness, identity, resilience, belonging & the stories that connect us.
Whether you're living with Parkinson's, navigating chronic illness or disability, supporting a loved one, or simply curious about the power of poetry & storytelling, these free workshops offer an opportunity to listen, reflect, write & connect.
No writing experience is needed, just bring yourself. Go for one session or join both, and create space for stories that deserve to be heard, one poem at a time
