Get ready for an exciting new exhibition at Auckland Art Gallery! Modern Women: Flight of Time, opening on 10 August 2024, celebrates the incredible contributions of women artists to modern art in Aotearoa New Zealand. 

From 1920 to 1970, explore over 80 artworks, including paintings, sculptures, and textiles, that showcase both iconic and lesser-known female artists. Discover works by Rita Angus, Frances Hodgkins, and many more, alongside international artists like Eileen Agar and Natalia Goncharova. 

Curator Julia Waite invites you to dive into a vibrant world of artistic innovation and transformation during a time of great change. 

Join in on celebrating these pioneering women who have left an indelible mark on art history.
