If you've ever wanted to try the age-old discipline of yoga, now is your chance. Across two days - 26 hours to be precise - Hot Yoga Works HQ are hosting a free yoga marathon.
The weekend aims to get Aucklanders stretching while quenching their curiosity for Bikram Yoga. Keen yogis aren't expected to stick it out for the entire marathon — the weekend will highlight all of the studio's offerings across 14 different classes.
Participants are invited to try traditional Bikram; yin, a slower-paced style that gets into deep muscle tissue; Yoga Nidra, which offers a state of consciousness between waking and sleeping; and a silent Bikram class to a specially-curated playlist.
All you need to bring is a mat & two towels - if you forget these, don't worry, you can rent them.
Donations from the weekend will be given to charity.
