Heineken Star Serve, an annual global competition where Heineken bartenders go head to head to show off their draught pouring skills, is back with the New Zealand final being held in Auckland's HeadQuarters.
In order to find the country’s top Heineken bartender, semi-finalists from around New Zealand compete against each other as they attempt to pour the perfect Heineken, adhering to the Heineken 5 Star Serve steps – rinse, pour, skim, check and serve – the steps, if followed correctly, guarantee a perfectly poured Heineken every time.
This year’s finals will be taking place at Headquarters in Auckland’s Viaduct on 12 September and will be open for the public to come and watch, as well as try their own hand and compete with their friends and the chosen bartender finalists, on who can pour the perfect Heineken.
Some of Heineken’s local ambassadors including Jupiter Project, Logan Dodds and Art Green will be there on the night as well with the opportunity for the public to challenge them to a pour off, and professional boxer, Monty Betham will be the event MC and Dan Aux from George FM will be the DJ for the night!
The Heineken 5 star serve steps are designed to elevate the drinking experience of consumers globally, meaning that you will be guaranteed the same superior standard no matter where in the world you are enjoying a Heineken.
Following the NZ national finals, the local winner will join the best of the best in Amsterdam on October 8th 2018 to compete for the title of the best Heineken bartender in the world.
