In anticipation of our exhibition Enchanted Worlds: Hokusai, Hiroshige and the Art of Edo Japan, opening Sat 7 Mar, host Samantha Copland will guide you through a full day of fragrance design, inspired by Japanese flavours.
Discover hero botanicals native to Japan, such as yuzu, cherry blossom and hinoki wood in this perfume-making workshop by Perfume Playground. Learn about scent evolution and sillage and craft several unique fragrances and a luxurious body oil, which are yours to take home.
What you get:
- Creative guidance from Samantha Copland, founder of Perfume Playground, trained by world renowned alchemist Mandy Aftel. Holding a science degree in Pharmacology and Psychology, certified in flower essences, aromatherapy, plant shamanism and Ronga Maori Medicine both the art and science of perfumery is covered.
- Access to a scent lab of natural essences & flower essences
- All the tools & materials you need to create 2-4 unique fragrances and a body oil
$2.50 per hour to a max of $12.50 on weekends and a $12 flat rate for weekday evenings at The Civic car park. Find out more.
