Join in a cyanotype workshop inspired by Miranda Bellamy and Amanda Fauteux’s artwork Pavilion in touchsprings.

Participants will learn how to create cyanotype prints on fabric with plant materials gathered from the nearby Waipapa Taumata Rau University of Auckland gardens. Drawing on the materiality of the natural world, this workshop encourages participants to take notice of their surroundings and appreciate the shapes and forms that nature takes.

Meet at Gus Fisher Gallery for an introduction to cyanotypes and afterwards take a short walk to the UoA gardens to collect plant materials. You will bring these things back to the gallery and create prints with their shapes in the sun.

All materials provided. Open to participants over the age of 18. Registrations are required to attend.
