For one night only, award-winning chefs Casey McDonald of the highly acclaimed Craggy Range Restaurant and Tom Hishon of kingi will come together to host a very special degustation experience, served in the sumptuous surrounds of The Libraries at The Hotel Britomart.
With just 16 seats at sharing tables, it will be an intimate evening, created for those who truly appreciate great food and wine. Over five delicious courses, chefs Casey and Tom will showcase the best of Hawkes Bay winter produce while shining a light on the region's incredible artisans, explaining each course as part of a gastronomic exploration of New Zealand’s best.
Since entering the industry at a young age, Casey has worked alongside some of the world’s most acclaimed culinary leaders, most recently helming Andrew McConnell's Melbourne restaurants, including Supernatural, Cumulus, and Cutler & Co, the latter of which was awarded Gourmet Traveller's 'Best in Australia."
The setting for the event will be no less spectacular than the food: diners will start the evening with a welcome drink and delicious snacks in the relaxed comfort of The Lounge before moving to the interactive Chef’s Library and loft-like Wine Library for the mains, and returning to The Lounge for petit fours and digestifs if they wish.
This innovative collaboration between Casey and Tom combined with the opportunity to journey through the different spaces of The Libraries promises a truly spectacular experience.
