Join the Gallery for their free kids and whānau festival, a day of art, music, dance and hands-on discovery. Held across their free exhibition spaces, bring the whole whānau along for all-ages fun from 10am to 5pm.

Enjoy performances and workshops with Suzy Cato, Buzz from Toi Time, Auckland Philharmonia, Siva Afi performers, Atamira Dance Company and more.
Get hands-on and explore our environment at interactive making stations throughout the Gallery. Come along, get creative and enjoy a day of discovery with the whānau.
What to expect
10:30am, 12:30pm and 2pm: Experience siva afi, a Samoan form of fire dancing
10:30am, 12pm and 1pm: Have a go at sketching with live figure drawing sessions
10:30am and 12pm: Explore our Taimoana exhibition through movement with Atamira Dance Company
11am and 1pm: Suzy Cato brings us a special story time and musical performance
All day: Play activities for the whole whānau. Strike a pose in our photobooth, sketch yourself into our pop-up Paris café, and more
All day: Grab a treat from Ice Cream Social or the Gallery café
