This tour is an opportunity to learn about the curation of a diverse range of artworks from the University of Auckland Art Collection in the University's General Library. Focusing on the role that both historic and contemporary artworks play in creating a welcoming environment for learning and research, artworks included are by celebrated Aotearoa artists like Selwyn Muru and Colin McCahon, alongside a commissioned soundscape and more recent acquisitions by contemporary practitioners such as Areez Katki and Ayesha Green.
There are two walks taking place, on October 11 from 12.30-1.30pm and 5.30-6.30pm. Bookings are essential so be sure to register for a ticket through the link so you don't miss the chance to peer behind the curtain to see this Unlocked Collection.
