Sisters, suitors and swooning!

A uniquely theatrical spin on the iconic novel. Elinor and Marianne Dashwood are rudely evicted from their childhood home when their beloved father dies and their brother inherits everything. Their only route out of ruin is romance. But should heart or head rule who takes their hand?

New Zealand playwright Penny Ashton has lovingly adapted Jane Austen’s classic novel with her trademark theatrical mischief. The result is a wry, rambunctious whirl, with all the wit and pathos of the original. Directed by Margaret-Mary Hollins, expect plenty of frocks, a dose of feminism, a pinch of spice, a dash of hilarity and bold physical storytelling.
