Set in a wasteland in an alternate present, a man searches for machinery hoping to build something that will help him become seki.

How do we look after what we’ve made? How do we maintain the things we hold close, our relationships, and ourselves, in order to keep going? A love letter to family and a meditation on survival, care and maintenance.

SEKI is a captivating solo by Te Whanganui-a-Tara based street dance artist Sefa Tunupopo. Originally performed as part of Shifting Centre's arts festival Civic, do not miss this Tāmaki Makaurau premiere.

Presented as part of Tempo Dance Festival 13–18 October 2026.
