Arriving at 131 Queen Street in mid‑2026!

Faradays to transform 131 Queen Street into a landmark of luxury

131 Queen Street is set to be reborn as a three-level, 3,000-square-metre destination that celebrates both international excellence and homegrown creativity.

Guided by Faradays CEO Edward von Dadelszen, developer Andrew Krukzeiner, and property investor Mark Francis, this ambitious project will breathe new life into the heritage-listed former Milne & Choyce building—once home to one of New Zealand’s first department stores. The redesign, led by acclaimed Fearon Hay Architects, will seamlessly blend history with modern sophistication.

The arrival of Faradays marks a pivotal moment in the revitalisation of Auckland’s city centre. With global icons such as Cartier and Graff joining its line-up, Faradays will re-establish Queen Street as New Zealand’s premier luxury retail destination.

Brand announcements for the Queen Street store will begin in the new year, while the former Faradays Parnell site will be reimagined by a fresh creative team.

The Faradays Queen Street experience will offer:

  • Three exquisitely designed levels of luxury and lifestyle retail

  • A refined hospitality concept in partnership with a leading operator

  • Valet arrival and concierge service for a seamless guest journey

  • Curated selections across womenswear, menswear, streetwear, childrenswear, beauty, fragrance, homeware, and accessories

  • Access to globally renowned fashion houses, Faradays’ celebrated private labels, and emerging Antipodean designers

In January 2026, Faradays will unveil a “superstar board” featuring some of New Zealand’s most influential leaders in fashion and retail—cementing its role as a cultural and style powerhouse.
