“Sex is a uniquely useful tool for a writer, a powerful means not just of revealing character or exploring relationships, but of asking the largest questions about human beings.” – Garth Greenwell (The Guardian, 2020)
Join Ockham NZ Book Awards shortlisted writer Pip Adam (Audition) to explore approaches to writing sex that centre consent. Pip will present and discuss examples from some of her favourite books followed by a series of reflective exercises.
To encourage experimentation and create a supportive environment, participants won’t be asked to share or discuss what they write in the workshop; the aim is to provide a safe space to consider how you might include this central experience in your writing.
