Aotearoa’s own Imperfect Offering presents the music of Leonard Cohen. Titled "Of Love and Loss - Songs of Leonard Cohen”, the focus is Cohen’s life journey with the women he loved and the losses he experienced. The band takes you on a journey from Cohen’s first album 'Songs of Leonard Cohen' in 1967 to the album 'You Want it Darker' released just weeks before his death in 2016. With a story that spans his Greek Island life with his muse Marianne to New York’s artist hang-out Chelsea Hotel and a meeting with Janis Joplin, Imperfect Offering will present his most beloved songs. 
 
Imperfect Offering is a nine-piece band including established jazz, rock, jazz and classical musicians. They appeared on TVNZ News on the event of Cohen’s death in November 2016 have toured Aotearoa since 2016 attracting full houses, great reviews and standing ovations.
 
Their growing repertoire includes the astonishing “Hallelujah”, “Suzanne”, “Chelsea Hotel”, “I Tried to Leave You”, “Bird on the Wire” and songs from Cohen's extraordinary album ‘You Want it Darker’.

The name Imperfect Offering is inspired by Cohen’s ‘Anthem’ -
