Shop second hand

Tatty's entrance

Tatty's Designer Recycle has just moved to a bigger location!

Tatty's has been regarded as one of the city centre's best second-hand stores, specialising in designer, retro and vintage pieces. Established in 2006 by Aimee Egdell, Tatty's is a female run, owner operated consignment fashion business. Having grown up in the second hand fashion industry, Aimee's focus has always been to provide an alternative mode of consumption with sustainability and individuality at its core.

The city centre is filled with plenty of businesses championing sustainability with epic initiatives. If you're keen to make more environmentally conscious choices but unsure where to start, check out these options below.

Sustainable initiatives

H&M Garment Collection Program

H&M Garment Collection Program

If a closet clear-out has left you with piles of unwanted clothes, H&M’s Garment Collection program is a useful initiative to make the most of. They’ll accept any unwanted clothes or textiles by any brand, in any condition and sort them into three categories, re-wear, reuse or recycle. And in return, you’ll receive a thank you coupon to use towards your next purchase!

Sephora x Terracycle

Sephora x Terracycle

Sephora’s important new initiative, Terracycle, keeps once loved beauty products out of landfill and turns them into raw, reusable materials. So, when you next find yourself scraping the dreads of your pot, tub, palette, or jar, be sure to keep the empties and return them to Sephora. The best part? You’ll be rewarded with Beauty Pass points to use in store!
