Breaking hearts since 1888.

Virtuoso Amalia Hall and NZSO's Music Director Emeritus James Judd join forces to present a night of soul-stirring musical drama.

In her NZSO debut, Hall performs John Corigliano's Chaconne from his score for The Red Violin, a film about a magnificent but cursed violin. Hall's 'blazing insight and dazzling virtuosity' (Strad Magazine) will draw out every ounce f passion in Corigliano's Chaconne.

NZSO Music Director Emeritus James Judd's returns in 2022 to conduct two masterpieces, both based on classic stories. In Strauss's tone poem Don Juan, you'll hear Don Juan's vigorous romanticism, confidence, and growing resignation at never finding his ideal love.

Prokofiev's score for Romeo and Juliet, which includes the grand ominous Dance of the Knights, is some of the most iconic ballet music ever written.

$2 per hour to a max of $12 on weekends and a $12 flat rate for weekday evenings at The Civic car park. Find out more
