Her sparkling concertino shares the bill with Debussy’s miniature masterpiece, which far transcends its origins as a demonstration work for a new type of harp.
Satie’s placid Gymnopédies are followed by Ravel’s very French take on the Viennese waltz, and the evening’s divertissement begins with a rarely heard tone-poem by Saint-Saëns. Santé!
