Nike Britomart is now closed
Nike might be the world’s most successful sportswear company, but the focus of the Nike Britomart store is very much on this corner of the world.
From the Auckland map graphics on the walls the store emphasises its authentic connection to the New Zealand sporting community. (It’s true – Kiwi Arthur Lydiard’s jogging club so inspired Nike’s Bill Bowerman on a visit here in 1962, he took the idea with him back to the US and sparked a new fitness phenomenon.)
