Celebrate Matariki 2025 at Viaduct Harbour with Maruata Rikoriko—a stunning community installation by artists Graham Tipene and Amy Hawke (Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei) that invites you to gather, reflect, and connect through kai, kōrero, and culture. Anchored by a beautifully carved tēpu and framed by symbolic pou, this immersive space honours the shimmering light of dawn and the sparkling waters of Te Waitematā, blending traditional Māori artistry with sustainable design. Open from 17 June to 13 July in Market Square, the experience is enriched by bespoke Matariki-inspired dishes from Viaduct’s top eateries—bringing the spirit of unity, guardianship, and celebration to life.
