Brighten up your day with a visit to te reo-inspired art installations happening in the city centre! You can spot the eye-catching neon art pieces lighting up Lorne Street outside the central Auckland library.

The artworks will highlight three cornerstone kupu (words): ‘rere’, ‘tika’ and ‘Māori’, referencing the whakataukī (saying): ‘Ko te reo kia rere. Ko te reo kia tika. Ko te reo kia Māori.’ (‘Let the language flow. Let the language be correct. Let the language reflect a Māori worldview.’)

Created by Ataahua Papa (Ngāti Korokī Kahukura, Ngāti Mahuta) and Angus Muir Design.
