For two magical weekends, watch the Sky Tower come alive with a stunning laser light show, reimagined through the lens of Māori artists Graham Tipene and Lissy & Rudi.

Graham Tipene (Ngāti Whātua, Ngāti Kahu, Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Hauā, Ngāti Manu), a renowned Tā Moko artist, has long been a guiding force in shaping the cultural landscape of Tāmaki Makaurau. His work on civic projects and the acclaimed Tūrama light trail - telling the story of Te Waihorotiu along Queen Street— has brought Māori narratives into the heart of the city.

Lissy (Ngāti Hine, Ngāti Kahu) and Rudi (Waikato Tainui, Ngāti Pāoa, Taranaki, Te Arawa) Robinson-Cole are known for their vibrant, joy-filled creations that fuse traditional Māori symbolism with contemporary mediums. Their crocheted wharenui, Wharenui Harikoa, is a beacon of colour and connection, and this light show continues their mission to uplift communities through creativity and cultural pride.

Together, these artists transform the Sky Tower into a canvas of light and meaning, inviting all who watch to reflect, celebrate, and connect. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this is a rare opportunity to witness the fusion of ancient stories and modern technology in a way that only Aotearoa can offer.
