Artist in Residence installation: Matariki by Haser, returns across the Commercial Bay airbridge in an enhanced illustration. Bringing a burst of colour and meaning to the space, the artwork offers a moment to pause, reflect and acknowledge the season of Matariki through a uniquely contemporary lens. The installation features a collection of vibrant, light-reflective Whetū (star) decals inspired by the Matariki constellation.
Expanding beyond the iconic Commercial Bay airbridge, smaller decal elements will appear across the PwC, Deloitte, GHD towers and Becca House, creating a connected experience throughout the wider precinct. Visitors can discover the artwork spread across glass windows with interpretive plaques sharing the stories and cultural significance behind the installation.
Running from 2 July through to early August, Matariki by Haser is a powerful visual tribute to connection, reflection and the collective spirit of Aotearoa.
