Get ready for one night of raucous live comedy!

Save the date for Fri 8 July at The Tuning Fork to catch this lineup of all-star local comedians: Dai Henwood, Brendhan Lovegrove (MC), Courtney Dawson & Keegan Govind!

Fast becoming Tāmaki Makaurau’s favourite downtown comedy event, each month The Tuning Fork gathers up their favourite comedians from throughout Aotearoa, hosting them for one night of raucous live comedy.

Headlining the event is one of NZ's best comedians Dai Henwood - and he’s as Kiwi as Hokey Pokey ice-cream, jandals and L&P! Well recognised for his appearances on TV3's topical comedy panel show 7 Days, hosting Family Feud and Dancing With the Stars, most recently his latest project TVNZ’s Lego Masters New Zealand, we know you'll be treated to some top-tier comedy!

Your MC for the night is the hilarious Brendhan Lovegrove - a favourite on the NZ Comedy Circuit and a much-loved regular headliner and host at The Classic! Appearing on numerous local television programmes including all 8 series of Pulp Comedy and several appearances on TV3's 7 Days, he is sure to have the audience crying with laughter!

Courtney Dawson made her comedic debut on the Classic stage in 2018 - after 30 years of testing material on her friends, whanau, random party goers, unsuspecting train conductors, long-suffering bar staff and the occasional police officer. True to her self-deprecating brand of humour, it would make Courtney slightly uncomfortable to acknowledge that she was joint winner of the 2019 Raw Quest, and voted Best Newcomer in the 2019 Comedy Guild Awards, but true to her nature as a yarn/drama queen, after a drink or two she’ll tell you all about it.

Closing up the line-up is Keegan Govind - a high energy act with the confidence and material to back it up, and a constant crowd favorite. A sure fire fun time for any audience with him, he uses comedic skill and energy to set the atmosphere for an unforgettable night of laughs. Keegan was named as a breakthrough male comedian in 2020 and one of the best MC’s in 2021 by the NZ Comedy Guild.

This is sure to be a fun & hilarious night out!
