Picture a city space transformed into a sanctuary of verdant foliage, elegant bouquets and striking botanical art works.

This was the vision owners of this CBD location had. To activate a Fort St retail vacancy and, in doing so, bringing bold creativity and life to lower Fort St through a temporary exhibition which reimagined the possibilities that exist for this space. Through a partnership with Emma Bass, Ninety Nine Reasons redefined this space into a vibrant exhibition, styled to blur the boundaries between art and floristry.

FLORA is an exhibition that invites you to step into a world where art and nature intertwine. Incredible floral arrangements and staging by Ninety Nine Reasons transform possibility into a reality - the space comes alive as a lush florist’s store, designed to highlight the stunning works of renowned artist Emma Bass in uniquely complimentary form.

Emma Bass’s evolving exploration of the floral still life is a vibrant fusion of colour, form, and symbolism, where joy, beauty, and contemporary relevance converge. Her works celebrate the cycles of life while challenging perceptions of depth, perspective, and authenticity. Exuberant blooms spill from vessels, while painted and photographed elements intertwine in a dynamic interplay of reality and artifice. Through these luminous, uplifting pieces – including radiant lightboxes - Bass infuses the space with energy, warmth, and a profound sense of wellbeing.

Ninety Nine Reasons’ innovative approach to exhibition design not only enhances the impact of Bass’s artworks but also but also brings to life in a tangible, interactive way, the opportunities which exist for this space. Visitors are invited to linger, engage, and be transported by the joyful energy of both the artworks and their setting.

Whether you are an art enthusiast or simply looking for a delightful experience, this pop-up exhibition promises to inspire and delight. On view until the end of April.
