Ecstatic Dance featuring Karen Hunter and DJ Anirvan Deva. A sensory journey into sound, dance and awareness.
The evening will begin with a heart opening practice and guided meditation with Karen Hunter and then progressively, DJ Anirvan Deva will take you to a place where you will be able to unwind and express yourself in a safe and connected space through dance.
Karen will accompany DJ Anirvan Deva in offering a mixture of songs and improvisations in devotion to Papatuanuku, Ranginui and all of their children and together we will embark on a conscious dance journey that will shake our bodies, move our hearts and expand our minds.
The night will be rounded off with a grounding closing circle to integrate the journey.

Rooted in the richness of musical traditions, Anirvan Deva's multicultural sounds crosses borders between world fusion, tribal shamanic downtempo and various tonalities of electronics with deep grooves, big bass and even mantras.
Originally from Italy, he moved to Auckland 9 years ago and DJs in Europe and New Zealand especially in Vegan, Yoga and Eco events and festivals, Ecstatic Dance parties and Cacao Ceremonies, Equinox and Solstice Celebrations.

Auckland based Musician and Astrologer Karen Hunter offers songs to direct our focus on awakening collective humanity. These are creative hear charged soundscapes drawing deep from the well of collective spirit.
Her instruments include voice, guitar, mandolin, percussion and vocal loops to create heart charged soundscapes that draw deep from the well of the collective spirit.
