Odd Even clothing and emerging artists and recent AUT graduates Caitlyn Manning and Sunhee Moon are collaborating on an exhibition for City of Colour. Manning presents a series of vibrant and colourful paintings on canvas that explore fluid gestures and the grid, registering the artist’s active sensations. Moon uses ceramic and textile production to create a picnic-like experience, reimagining the past as a tactile feast bringing together family and friends.
Head down to the opening event for the Odd Even Exhibition on 19 May from 6pm - 8pm.
About the artists
Caitlyn Manning: Caitlyn is an artist with a practice in painting. With no preconceived image or outcome in mind, she is interested in entering an explorative relationship with the painted surface using unconventional tools. Manning graduated with a Master of Visual Arts from Auckland University of Technology in 2021.
Sunhee Moon: Sunhee works with ceramics and textiles to materialise memories and fragments of her past as clay and wool. Embracing materiality as a means to counter an age overflowing with digital experiences, her work explores physical form, tactility, texture, and colour. Moon graduated with a Master of Design from Auckland University of Technology in 2021
