Head along to The Cloud on Queens Wharf to celebrate 150 years of firefighting in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland and experience the history of our firefighters, fire trucks, and the evolution of emergency response in the region.

Meet Auckland's very own firefighting men and women and emergency partners including NZ Police, Hato Hone St John, NZ Defence Force, Red Cross, and Auckland Emergency Management, and get up close to fire trucks from more than 100 years ago alongside the very latest in modern fire appliances used throughout Auckland today.

  • Watch demonstrations of the essential work carried out by the Specialist High Angle Rescue and Urban Search and Rescue teams.   
  • Explore the fascinating history of firefighting in Tāmaki Makaurau through exhibitions featuring videos, photos, and rare archival materials.
