Head to the Cancer Society Games Fair for a weekend of Board Games, Card Games, D&D, Warhammer and more with all proceeds going to charity to help support New Zealander's facing cancer.

There will be a ton of new things on offer this year including an Indie Dev Showcase, a Megagame, a PaperJam for tabletop designers and a bunch of new stalls with activities on offer.

Whether you’ve heard about Dungeons & Dragons from Stranger Things and want to give it a go or have been playing Board Games since the 70’s, this event is for you! Head down and try it all out for the first time. Or, if you’re well-acquainted with the hobby scene in NZ come down and revel in a whole weekend of tabletop fun!

The event is all-ages with children 13 and under able to attend for free! If you grew up with the Kiwi tradition of playing cards around the dinner table and have always wanted to get your kids interested in the social side of gaming then consider giving board games a go! Or maybe it’s your kids trying to drag you into ‘That Dungeons and Dragons thing’ they’re always banging on about. Either way, this is the perfect event for families looking to get out of the house for the day (or possibly even the whole weekend!).

Your entry ticket will provide you access to the venue as a whole where you’ll be able to find all manner of stalls showcasing everything tabletop. If you’re not able to make the whole weekend then just pop down for a day and see what’s on offer. Some areas will have an additional ticket that lets you access the fantastic events they’re running. If you’re not sure about booking in advance then don’t fret, you’ll be able to pay and enter on the day!

Flat fee of $7 per day on weekends at Fanshawe Street carpark. Find out more.
