We tell our own stories, our way.
Punchy, thought-provoking, inspiring and innovative, agaram. brings together an exciting bunch of Tāmaki Makaurau’s up-and-coming theatre and performance artists from the South Asian community to present a kaleidoscope of homegrown bite-sized queer works.
Through an open-call submission, rigorous development, and workshop process, be:longing (Homegrown Edition) is a celebration of tales and experiences from all corners of the queer community. The selected artists are paired with directors and dramaturges elevating their works to the stage for this unique one-night-only event.
be:longing (Homegrown edition) is part of a 2 day free festival within the Pride Festival celebrating the contribution of South Asian LGBTQIA+ theatre and performance with an emphasis on new or recent works with a broadly LGBTQIA+ theme or relevance.
