Celebrate Chinese New Year and the Year of the Ox at the 2021 Auckland Lantern Festival, taking place over four nights and three days from Thursday 25 – Sunday 28 February, on Captain Cook and Marsden Wharves.

The festival sees the public enjoy hundreds of elaborate handmade Chinese lanterns on display, cultural song, music, and dance performances, craft demonstrations, sponsor activations and competitions, retail and food stalls, and a fireworks display.  

Presented by Auckland Unlimited, on behalf of Auckland Council, in conjunction with founding partner Asia New Zealand Foundation.

This is a free, family-friendly event.
