Alan McElroy grew up in a very religious Ireland in the 80’s & 90’s.

But instead of heavenly influences, he was heavily influenced by the holy trinity of TV, films & video games! It was more of What Would John McClane Do? Or ‘Love Thy Neighbours’ (He used to kiss the telly when Charlene Robinson was on screen)
