Get ready for an uproarious start to the 2024 NZ International Comedy Festival on Thursday, May 2nd, at SKYCITY Theatre, featuring a stellar lineup of 6+ world-class comedians packed into a 2-hour show.
For over 20 years, this event has been a crowd favorite, offering an All-Stars Preview of our international guests alongside beloved local favorites. It's a taste of the hilarity to come at The Classic and beyond during the annual Comedy Fest, running from May 2nd to May 26th.
Fans will be thrilled to see the return of Fest Fave, IAN SMITH, who stole the show at the 2023 Edinburgh Fringe, earning nominations for 'Best Show' across major awards. Joining him is the UK's top club headliner, BEN NORRIS, who wowed audiences at the NZ Festival at the turn of the millennium.
Adding to the excitement are two bright new comedy stars: KIRSTY WEBECK from Australia, gaining momentum as a comedic force, and MARK SIMMONS from England, known for his unique style and 'next level' audience interaction.
Also gracing the stage is the 'Classic Scot' HANNAH CAMPBELL, who discovered her comedic talent right here in NZ before making waves on the pro circuit in Scotland. She's returning to The Classic to celebrate her roots.
And don't miss a rare appearance by NZ's comedy icon, TE RADAR, marking 30 years in the biz with performances at The Classic from May 22 to 26. Expect plenty of surprises when he takes the stage.
