The Race Village is all set for a jam packed programme of activation and entertainment this weekend. From a sing along with Rod Stewart, to face painting and entertainment for the kids and live performances from artists including Tami Neilson, Matt Bizzle and The Feelers, just to name a few, there are so many things to do and see around the Race Village this weekend. Check out the full programme below:

Activations at the Race Village 

Saturday 13 March:

  • 10:00am - 6pm: Pump Activation, BLAKE Exhibition and VR Zone, Seacleaners, ‘Coke’ Drinks Stop, Coastguard, Rainbow Machine, Biosecurity trailer in Silo Park Extension and North Wharf
  • 11:00am - 4pm: Face Painters. Get your team colours and more at Karanga Plaza. 

  • Midday - 3pm: Super Heroes. Get animal balloons and selfie opportunities at Karanga Plaza and Halsey Wharf. 

  • 1pm - 1:20pm: Pre-race show. Come to the Race Village and meet the full crew on the Main Stage. 

  • 1pm - 4pm: Solo artist Iris Zhang performs at Karanga Plaza. 

  • 1:30pm - 2pm: Musician Matt Bizzle

  • 2pm - 2:30pm: Teams Dock Out. Watch the teams dock out from their bases and head out on to the Waitemata Harbour. 

  • 2pm - 2:05pm: Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei Warrior farewelling Emirates Team New Zealand

  • 2:05pm - 2:15pm: RNZAF Flyover the Waitemata Harbour and boats

  • 2:30pm - 3:30pm: Tourism NZ presentation on the Main Stage.

  • 2.30pm - 3.30pm: Rock the Dock event. Sir Rod Stewart will add his voice to the racing build-up with a singalong rendition of his classic hit Sailing on the big screen.  

  • 4:15pm: Race 5 starts, followed by Race 6 at 5.15pm

  • 6pm - 8pm: Live act Red Velvet Seat on the main stage. 

  • 8pm - 9pm: Live act Tami Neilson on the main stage

  • 9pm - 10pm: Live Act DJ Ronnie on the main stage. 

Sunday 14 March:

  • 8pm - 9pm: Live act Zed on the main stage.
  • 9pm - 10pm: Live act The Feelers on the main stage.
