It’s a bug’s life in Roussel’s "The Spider’s Feast", a suite depicting the insects found in a garden. This special performance moves from the garden to the Aotearoa New Zealand native bush with Giant Wetas, Huhu Grubs and all the fluttering life found in the forest. One thing is always clear, the spider is always looking for lunch. This work is guaranteed to make the kids laugh, smile, and squirm!
Oscar-winning songwriter and funny man Bret McKenzie, last seen with NZSO for their 2018 Muppets concerts, returns to narrate a staple of kids’ classical music: Saint-Saëns’ "Carnival of the Animals". Come for the bouncing kangaroos, gliding swans, and galumphing elephants – and stay for the great music.
