This exhibition recalls the slogan of a Tourism department advertisement from the 1980s which encouraged New Zealanders to explore their own backyard before heading off on their overseas experience.
In photograph albums, diaries, maps and posters, we travel round New Zealand looking at spas, national parks, beaches, campgrounds, mountains, rivers and cities from the 19th century to the 1980s.
