This June, the fourth annual New Zealand Boutique Wine Festival will take over the Imperial Building on Fort Lane with exquisite wine and delicious dining.
The best boutique vineyards from around New Zealand will be showcasing over 200 wines, creating one of the most unique cellar door experiences in this country’s wine history.
Event attendees will be able to explore wines from different regions, enjoy fantastic food and wine pairings, great live music and participate in blind tasting seminars.
Every ticket includes: One Spiegelau festival bordeaux glass (valued $19.50), a ride home with UBER (valued up to $20), an event programme and one free tasting token on entry.
Here are the four wine tasting sessions you can enjoy on the day:
- Matawhero, 12pm
- Te Hera Vineyard, 1pm
- Gillman Vineyard, 3pm
- Silver Wing, 4pm
Lunch or Dinner tickets include entry to the festival and either a two-course lunch or a three-course dinner with wine matches included, designed by the brilliant chefs at Everybody's.
Here's what you can look forward to eating on the day:
Lunch
Entree: Ceviche of snapper, crispy prawns, gazpacho gel
Main: Slow roasted pork belly, spiced tomato puree and celeriac remoulade
Dinner
Entree: Duck liver parfait, beurre noisette crumbs, peach and plum jubes
Main: Savannah Beef Wellington, shiraz glazed shallots and roasted baby carrots
Dessert: Belgian dark chocolate mousse, hazelnut afghan and milk marshmallows
Vegetarian Option
Entree: Buffalo mozzarella, orange, beetroot carpaccio and walnut vinaigrette
Main: Twice baked kumara souffle, truffled goats cheese and smoked onion soubise with a cashew crumb
