The WISE Collective food stall and cultural performance

The WISE Collective Project has been active for five years, helping support refugee women utilisze their skills and interests to generate income for their families and empower them towards self-sufficiency.

More than 800 women, from 18 different countries, have engaged with the WISE Collective Project since its inception.

The WISE women run regular ethnic food stalls at markets, festivals and events across Auckland.

To celebrate 125 years of women’s suffrage, and to mark the final days of Wāhine Take Action, Central City Library is hosting the WISE Collective on Saturday 10 November.

Please join the Central Library and WISE for a food stall, including culinary delights from Burma and the Middle East, and a series of cultural performances by WISE members.
