This summer, the base of the Sky Tower transforms into the ultimate Kiwi backyard party. SkyCity Summer Garden is a three-month pop-up packed with sunshine, good food, cold drinks, family-friendly fun and those long, easy summer vibes Aucklanders live for.
Whether you’re grabbing a bite with the whānau, need a coffee and bite in the morning on your way into town, stopping in after work, or showing off the city to summer visitors, SkyCity Summer Garden is your go-to spot for relaxed, al fresco fun in the heart of the city
Eat, sip and chill all summer long
Bring your appetite! SkyCity's serving up the classics - crispy wings, hot chips, hot dogs and more. Simple, bold, delicious. In the mornings, they'll have a range of fresh pastries to go with your coffee. Head to the bar for your summer drink of choice ready from spritzes to ice-cold beers to refreshing cocktails and low/no-alc sips.
Live entertainment
Every Friday and Saturday from 4pm–7pm, SkyCity Summer Garden comes alive with live music with a lineup of Mal Lakatani, John Blackburn, Manoah Pickering, Lee Gray and Richard Murray - the perfect soundtrack for your sunny afternoon or balmy evening.
Sugar & Steam Dessert food truck
SkyCity's friends at Sugar & Steam will be parked up alongside rolling out the sweetest summer treats - scoops, sundaes and cool-down favourites for all ages. It’s the big purple truck; you can’t miss it!
$2.50 per hour to a max of $12.50 on weekends and a $12.50 flat rate for weekday evenings at The Civic car park. Find out more.
