To celebrate the release of a trio of its exceptional wines, Church Road has announced a unique event, crafted especially for fine wine connoisseurs to taste its lauded TOM range.
The Silo Door is a one-night-only experience. It brings the character and complexity of the Church Road TOM wines to life through an immersive sensory experience. Inspired by traditional cellar door rituals, the experience uses theatrical storytelling to provide guests with a sensory look into each of the Church Road TOM wines; Chardonnay, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot .
The immersive event marks an opportunity for New Zealanders to be one of the first to taste the Church Road TOM 2019 release before it goes on sale on 12 September - a date that also celebrates the 112th birthday of Church Road’s pioneering winemaker, Tom McDonald. Guests will enjoy the exclusive opportunity to pre-order the TOM range for delivery on 12 September.
“Only made in the most outstanding vintages, the range of Church Road TOM wines are of exceptional quality and we feel they need to be celebrated with a unique experience that brings key aspects of the wine to life,” said Church Road Chief Winemaker, Chris Scott.
The Silo Door re-imagines the way fine wine is traditionally explained at the cellar door and creates a new experience by bringing the character and complexity of Church Road’s TOM wines to life in an engaging way. “We’ve created a truly immersive experience for people who love fine wine to be taken on a journey through the wine-making process and to celebrate the release of our most iconic wines” said Scott.
Ticket price includes 3x Church Road TOM tastings and 1x glass of Church Road TOM with canape pairings.
